CARP Design Principles
CARP stands for Contrast, Alignment, Repetition and Proximity
Contrast Insists that any item you would like to stand out and be eye-catching should contrast with its background and use other effects such as bold type, underlining and more. Do not overuse Contrast or you risk losing your message competely
Alignment is about positioning graphical components. Alignment occurs on an imaginary line, either Horizontal or Vertical
Repition of elements, such as fonts, colour and shapes, creates a uniformity that promotes design harmony.
Proximity requires that all related informatoin should be organised in the same area on the page, rather than scattered about and making it difficult for users to understand the page.
Effectiveness refers to how well a user interface does what it needs to do.
Learnability refers to how quickly and easily users can learn to find onformation, complete tasks and navigate the digital solution.

Responsiveness
A responsive design will dynamically adjust to suit the screen size and acapabilities of a wide cariet of devices, an example of this is a mobile phone screen compared to a PC screen, a phone screen is smaller than a PC screen therefore thought has to go into what is displayed and how big it will be

An interface is sadi to be protable if it is platform-independant, meaning the application does not rely on hardware or a particular operating system to run
