- Life in the Trenches:
Bad weather, diseases, lice & rats
- Trench Fever: made the soldiers itch and caused fever, headache, sore muscles, bones, and joints.
Trench Foot: Rain and bad weather would flood the trenches making them muddy, and would block weapons and make it hard to move in battle.
most cases resulted in the foot being amputated. Cold weather was dangerous too, soldiers often lost fingers or toes to frostbite.
