Not allowing a child to participate in a sport violates their rights as a citizen. Imagine being kicked off of the Soccer team because your gender does not fit the requirements. It is absolutely unacceptable and anti-trans to not allow them to compete.
I believe all students regardless of gender or hormones should have the right to compete in the league of their choice. An uninclusive system not allowing transgender athletes to compete is simply not right, and cannot happen in today's society.
I love competing in track. I've been doing it ever since I was nine years old. My life, and health have been greatly affected by this sports, and my life is centered around it. I practice every single day to win in competition, but it is now practically impossible to win on an uneven playing field, where people of greater biologically strength are competing in the female leagues.
We believe bill C-16 plays a crucial role in today's society for equality across all of Canada. Nobody should be refused access to something because of their gender! Everybody should be able to express themselves freely without repercussions on their life.
As a Canadian Human Rights Activist I agree that the passing of bill C-16 is a big step in making transgender Canadians feel safer. We believe it is a right to freely express yourself, and not have yourself limited due to your gender.
We believe that all people should be treated equally, with also means equality in sports. Should transgender athletes be allowed to compete in sports leagues that are do not belong to their biological gender, female athletes will be put at a heavy disadvantage, and will more than likely have no chance of winning.
We at the Women's National Hockey League believe that women deemed females at birth are allowed to play in our league. The athlete may not take testosterone therapy, if hormone therapy is done on the athlete they will not be ineligible to play. The rules we have laid out regarding transgender athletes will be monitored by tests throughout the season.
We at the NBA believe that if our players were to play in the WNBA, it would make for an extremely unfair playing field. The statistics between our and their players do not compare, and if it would ruin the game if they were to play in the same league.
The transgender athletes playing in our leagues are ruining the competition. "Women" who don't even qualify for the male league are stronger, and faster than us leave us unable to compete.
I believe bill C-16 is an opportunity for Canadians to freely express themselves as individuals! This bill that we are trying to pass allows for people not be discriminated against, and makes Canada a better place.
Gender Identity and expression is such a large part of our everyday lives, it is with us everywhere we go. Having a bill passed that allows Canadians like us to freely express ourselves is something we need in the future.
The genetics of a man and a woman are very different. It is these scientific facts that prove the concept of transgender athletes to be extremely unfair, and scandalous. If a female athlete is to take male hormone therapy they gain strength that is unmatchable from a woman of equal size.
As a sports biologist I speak from much experience. Having a job in the sports industry where I study biology I would say I know a lot about the subject of transgender athletes. In fact I believe its very simple, if a woman has male hormone therapy they begin to gain the strength of a man due to the testosterone. This makes them stronger cause them to have an advantage.
When it comes to inclusiveness in our schools, we will take any opportunity possible for it to be become a reality. I don't believe any student should be left out, and not included due to things they cannot control about themselves.
I play basketball on a competitive level, and when I look at female basketball I see a totally different game. I don't think it makes any sense to mix the two different kinds of players.

As a male basketball player for my high school, I feel like there isn't much competition between the male and female teams. When I look at the two different teams the skill gap between the two is too much for them to reasonably play against each other. If that can't be done then why would we mix the players together? It doesn't make much sense to me.
