Dx:

MEE- bulging TM, limited mobility

Clinical presentation: Acute onset ear pain, tympanic membrane bulging, fever, ottorhea, tugging at ear, irritability
ABR
Dx:
Severe sx (T >39oC, purulent discharge)

Tx: Augmentin 875/135mg PO BID (low-dose first-line, second-line is high dose [2000/125 BID])
If PCN allergy: doxycycline, moxi, levo for adults; levo, cephpodoxime + clinda for kids
Duration: 10-14d for kids, 5-7d for adults
Clinical presentation: Congestion, purulent discharge, pain or pressure, fullness
SP

Tx: PCN VK, PCN G/IV benzathine (x1 dose)/IM procraine, amoxicillin (50 mg/kg or 25 mg/kg BID) x10 days
