First Round of Trying Differentiated Instruction in the Classroom to support the student

If the strategies work, keep doing them for the student's success!

If the strategies do not work, parents are called in for a face to face meeting to discuss options

If appropriate, a referral to the ESOL Department

ESOL Department conducts a Basic Evaluation to point to issues

Teacher modifies lessons to specifically address issues and student receives support through ESOL classes

If the parents are willing to work with the child and provide outside support, they may be able to ensure student success

If the parents cannot turn the situation around, they may need to seek more appropriate education options for their child

If the problems are severe, the school may suggest a referral to a psychologist in Bangkok

Differentiated Instruction May Include but is not limited to

Physical text changes for visually impaired

Modified Assignments

Behavioral support/plans
