Allison Chu's Web of Promises
Dylan
Dylan is my boyfriend and my best friend.
I've known him for almost a year, and have gotten to love and admire the amazing person he has shown me too this day. I can't wait for the future and for what is to come to make more memories and laughs together.
He promises to take care of me, to listen, to make me smile, to make me feel worth something or feel loved and special. He promises to care and respect me.
He shows this promise every single day. He loves and cares for me, brings me food and clothes. He hypes me up and makes me smile and laugh no matter how the day goes. He always supports me by coming to my games and meeting all my teammates, family and friends, even when he is scared too. He is my person and there is no one I'd rather be with.
Mom
My mom is someone who inspires me, she is someone who is always there for me and makes me a better person. She supports me in every single way and encourages me to be the best me that I can be. I am forever grateful for her.
She promises me to always be here for me, to be my mom first and friend second, and to be ear for me when I need someone to just listen and support me.
She keeps this promise by always supporting me through my interests, coming to every volleyball game, and listening to me as I rant, cry, or tell a story.
Dad
My dad is one of the most supportive people I know. Throughout all the years I've played sports he has encouraged and pushed me through them all. He likes to think of himself as my "Life Coach."
He always knows how to make me smile and laugh, and for that I am forever grateful for him.
A promise that my dad has made to me has been that he will support me through any passion that I have, as long as I give 110% effort and hard work.
My dad keeps this promise to by supporting me in all of my volleyball games. He watches every chance he can, even if he doesn't understand how the sport goes. He cheers for me on and off the court, even if it's not his favorite basketball.
Darren
Darren is my younger brother. He is 12 years old and drives me crazy. No matter what though, I wouldn't want anyone else to be my little brother.
A promise my brother and I make to each other is doing the best we can to support each other, to be an ear when someone needs to talk, or to make each other laugh in the rough times.
My brother keeps this promise to me by coming to whatever volleyball game he can when he's not busy, telling me jokes, singing with me, and always having my back.
Angelica
Angelica is someone that I have grown close to this year through our fun memories of spirit week, homecoming, and everyday we share at Moreau together.
She promises to me to always be there for me when I am upset, and to always make me feel loved.
She keeps this promise by checking up on me, helping me with assignments, making me laugh and smile, and being an amazing friend who I can always count on.
Kendal
Kendal is my very best friend that I met almost a year ago. We share many common interests like our love for the movie titanic, volleyball, and music.
A promise Kendal makes to me is never give up on our friendship even when times are tough. Under all of the stress we both undergo, whether it has to do with sports, family, friends, or school, we always find our way back to each other and view our friendship has a priority outlet to open up about anything that effects us. She views our friendship has an overall promise and I know that she will have my back through whatever even though I can be an air head sometimes. I am glad we can find peace within each other.
Kendal keeps this promise by giving me advice, being here when I need her, making me laugh and smile, making memories, and for supporting me when no one has in volleyball
Gianna
Gianna is one of my very best friends, I've known her all my life, and don't know what I would do without her.
Something she promises me is to always be here for me, support me, make me laugh on a rough day, and make me feel loved and worth something.
She keeps this promise to me by being the very first call that I make when I cry or hurting. She knows more about me than anyone else does. She makes me happy through a rough week and always is thinking of my best interest. She knows me in and out and we have gone through so much together, and therefore I am forever grateful for her.
Volleyball Club- UC Elite Teammates
My club teammates this year are all people that I've just met this year and I can't wait to travel and make fun memories with them playing the sport we love.
A promise that they have made for me this year was to be patient and supportive. They also all promise to be positive and encouraging people.
They keep this promise by always cheering me on, talking to me about other things beside volleyball, and knowing if I am having an off day, they will support and push me through it.
Abby
This is Abby. She is a freshmen at Moreau and plays on the Varsity volleyball team with me.
A promise Abby has made to me is to support me through no matter what. She is a great friend to me and has promised on and off the court that she will be a hand to support and encourage me.
She keeps this promise to me by being a great friend, cheering for me on the court, and letting me rant and share fun and crazy stories with her.
Olivia
Olivia is someone I met last year and she
has been one of my greatest friends. We too share a lot of common interests, our favorite one is the artist Ruel and Shawn Mendes
A promise Olivia makes to me to always be
a great friend, support me, be an ear to rant, laugh, or to share memories, or new things in our lives.
She continues to keep this promise to this day by always making me laugh, cheering me on the day I have volleyball games, encouraging me, and always being there for me. Though we only 1 class we always manage to be great friends
Evan
Evan is a very special friend
that I made my freshmen year
at Moreau. Sadly, he graduated and is now 1,405 miles
away.
A promise we made each other was: no matter how far we are from each other we would keep in contact and stay friends.
He keeps this promise by always texting me, checking up on me, and always answering my FaceTime calls.
Taylor
Taylor is one of my best friends since elementary school. She goes now to American HS and we barely get to see each other with our busy schedules.
A promise she makes to me is no matter how long we haven't seen each other, we will always text, share memories, and plan and hangout when we can!
She keeps this promise to me by texting and hanging out with me anytime we can, and when we do it is like we haven't missed a single day with each other.
