Dad
When I was stuck on what to do with my future, he helped me to decide what was best for me. He had also began helping me to search for other education options such as international universities.
My dad promised to fund for my family's living expenses, my tuition, and also to help me with my future career. He had also always promised me that even if he isn't physically by my side, he would always be with me in spirit.
My mom promised that she would always be there, especially when I need help, both emotionally and physically.
A few days ago I had a terrible sore in my back, and even though my mom overworked her own body a few days ago from yard work, she took her time and effort to help me too. Not only that, but whenever I am visibly stressed she would get me some snacks to help me study.

Even though we didn't verbally promise anything, I feel like we connect through our love for art and succeeding in school. She is older than me by an hour, and she would always help me when I get stuck. Sometimes I feel like I'm letting her down, but Maggie always made me feel included.
The many, many times when I feel I was excluded in a group, especially in water polo in our freshmen year. Now, she mostly helps me with chemistry when I get stuck and struggle.
Friend
As one of my closest friends, she promised me a strong bond. She is one of the first people I would talk to when I have an issue, and she would always try to console me when I feel down.
During my rough years in middle school, I've struggled with transitioning from a public to a private school. On the first day, she helped me with my locker and got me used to the environment. Because this was a difficult transition, I had a lot of up and downs and Fatema was always there by my side.

We promised each other to always share our interests. We both have very similar hobbies, stemming from watching tv shows to listening to k-pop bands. From there, we formed a strong connection and want to maintain this friendship by continuing to share the same interests.
Hyphen lightens the mood when we talk about our interests, no matter whether if we had a bad, moderate, or a good day. Almost everyday we talk about our favorite kpop groups, send memes or videos to each other, and spill emojis in our text messages. Now, we are still having fun and still very close friends not only because of our common interests, but our similar sense of humor.

Sabrina and I met each other this year because we were the only two sophomores that took drawing and painting 2 and drawing 1. As art students, we will help each other out both in technical skill, composition, and emotional support because art can be very draining.
During our art classes, we would always help each other when we are stuck. Sabrina occasionally asks what I would do in her situation, and I am glad to help. Similarly, I ask Sabrina about my composition and ask if it looks pleasing to the eye. She would point out where something would seem out of place, and I would use her advice to help myself improve on the artwork. Like all advice, it's better to have a fresh set of eyes help you in finding tiny mistakes.

Ananya Mukundan
Friend
Ananya mostly helps me with academic problems, and I can always ask her when I have any questions about anything. We help each other succeed (even though its mostly me who is asking Ananya), and we keep each other company by messing around with our mutual friends
In middle school, we didn't hang out a lot until eighth grade. This was when I actually began to have the courage to ask her questions, since she is approximately five million miles ahead of me in terms of grades. As freshman year rolled by, Fatema, Ananya, and I all went to the mall and had a great time. Little did I know that from then on I grew to become one of her more closer friends, which I thought was impossible because she was so awesome.
Anna and I promised to be green day morning buddies for this half of the semester because we shared half of our classes together.
We've never been close friends up until this year, when our mutual friends began bringing both of us into their many conversations. We began talking a lot, and eventually we became fairly close to each other. We always sit on the same table during lunch, ask each other questions about chemistry. I even drew a watercolor piece as my final for Anna! After first semester and second semester begins to settle in, we found ourselves to being green day morning buddies, and we occasionally call each other that after our first period class for fun.

Because we just met each other, we essentially promised to get to know each other better during the rest of our school year.
It is more if a telepathic promise. After our trip to San Francisco for our Bay Area history project, we began talking in class more and interacting with each other out of class. We began to smile and laugh with each other, and strike up small talk easily too.

Penny had promised me a strong friendship, athletics, and health.
Penny always help me by being the professional athlete of my friend group. Since I am rather new to sports, she would always answer any lingering questions I have about my body and the limits. She would always tell me to stay healthy and that sometimes overexertion in physical activities as well as dieting can cause health issues. However, despite all, we are close friends and we are willing to help each other, both mentally and physically.
Friend
Gabriella, since day one, promised me that she will use her boisterous energy to lift up the spirits of practically everyone around her.
I don't think that our JV water polo team would have so much positive enthusiasm if it wasn't for Gabi. Before games, she would always try to be inspirational and positive, as well as giving everyone refreshers on what to do from previous games. Because of her, I've also been more outspoken with others and trying to spread positive energy like she had to me.

Cecile and I mostly bonded through water polo, too. She and I would always hang out, and we will always try and help each other improve or help each other feel comfortable.
If I couldn't protect the ball, Cecile would always help remind me on what I've been doing incorrectly from a goalie's perspective. It is important because the goalie can see the entirety of the field, while I have limited vision from moving around so much. Not only that, we would always stick together during practices in winter season because we seek comfort through our friendship in more alien environments with new people.
