- - - - Teacher notices that the student seems isolated from his or her peers
      - Teacher notices that the student appears to be daydreaming in the classroom often, etc.
      - Teacher notices that the student feels frustrated to complete a task
    - - Teacher notices that the student is missing too may assignments
      - Teacher notices that the student cannot understand the content and gets upset
      - Teacher notices that the student is doing poorly academically
    - - The teacher must ensure that the differentiation strategies that she or he is implementing in the classroom are effective. Observe the child for at least two classes and record it in the academic form to have a list of observations for the academic director.
        
        Hold a meeting with the Academic Director, Chinese Teacher, and Specialist teachers to understand if the child is showing similar learning difficulties in their classes.
        
        The student shows difficulties throughout his or her classes
        
        Hold a meeting with the Academic Director and parents to understand the student's behavior at home
        
        Academic Director observes the class
        
        The student does not show difficulties throughout his or her classes
        
        Academic Director observes the class
        
        Academic Director provides feedback about differentiation strategies to help the child learn. Also, the Academic Director will assess if it is necessary to hold a meeting with the student's parents.
  - - - If the strategies are working then we continue our collaboration with ELG.
      - If the strategies are not working, we hold a meeting with the parents and refer them to attend a larger international school that offers special needs services.
  - - - The therapist turns in a background check to the school and a letter from ELG stating that he or she will audit the classes.
      - The therapist creates a plan fro the homeroom teachers to follow to better help the student learn.
      - The teacher creates a WeChat group with the Academic Director, parents, and therapist from ELG.
