No Mans land: The ground separating two trenches. It is and flat plain and filled with barbed wire and booby traps. It is very likely that you could be hit from either side of the war if you are in no mans land.
Trenches were used to hide soldiers below ground, they lived in water and mud like animals, many people got infections, diseases, and died.

The only people whose Civil Liberties were protected were rich, white, male, land owners. This relates to the propaganda branch due to the lack of enthusiasm for the war and the public's attempt to avoid war (Sedition Act was put in place to scare people from disagreeing with the government)
