there was a boom in the agricultural industry during the first world wa however when it was all over the European agriculture began to recovery and the demand for us food exports dropped and prices then did as well in the US
technological advancements e.g. combine harvesters this lead to increased unemployment of farm workers
in the south east in the 1920s cotton was affected by a nasty pest , the boil weevil, which caused serious damage
to the plants.
