In 1962, Mandela was arrested and sentenced to five years are labor. Later, he was moved to the famous Robben Island prison where he stayed for about 20 years because he was found guilty of many acts of violence and sabotage .

In 1944 Mandela together with Walter Sisulu and Oliver Tambo founded the youth league of the Africa National Congress.
In 1952 there is the largest non-violent resistance ever seen in South Africa, called the Defiance Campaign, and all racial groups participate under the leadership of the ANC and the Indian Congress of South Africa.
During his presidency Mandela tried to unite the different races present in South Africa. The most famous episode was the victory of the rugby world championship in 1995 with a multi racial team.
In 1955, their wrote the freedom Charter, it set a multiracial democracy as its goal. 1960 this foundation was declared outlawed.

Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King's dream was that all black people had the same rights as whites and that there was brotherhood among all citizens, whether they were black or white.
The very important speech he made, in which he recounted his dream, was delivered in Washington at the end of a protest march for civil rights.
He was born in 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia
He was forced to attend a COLORED school from an early age
he continued his studies dreaming of becoming a lawyer and pursuing an ideal of justice.
