-Parents may be in more need of support, especially if they have multiple children, and if they lack these supports their children may not be able to participate in extracurriculars, sports, or other social events due to transportation needs, needs of other children, etc.
-Children will also learn social skills and social competencies from watching their parent's interactions. EDI data shows that the Beverly community has an average of 54% in the social competence category, compared to 76% in Alberta overall (Government of Alberta, 2017), suggesting that these children's social competencies are at higher risk.
