Design Brief

The chair should be no bigger than one metre in height so that all ages can use the chair including the younger children who may want to use it.

sustainability
Flexi ply is panels of wood stuck together to form a newly formed material. This means that flexi ply has good strength qualities which may be key when using this material to form a chair.
Due to wood being an organic material, flexi ply is recyclable and easy to reuse or upcycle in other ways once the chair has completed its life cycle.
Aesthetics
The chair should have a wood finish applied to the flexi ply to improve the aesthetics. The chair should also have a smooth appearance due to the sanding of the wood.
cost
The chair should be cheap to manufacture to allow mass production and high profits. The chair should have a reasonable retail price in correlation to the manufacturing costs.
ergonomics
The chair must have a curved main body for the user to relax into to provide comfort and ease when sitting in the chair.
safety
The chair should stand on a base thick enough to withstand a certain amount of force when sitting to prevent users from causing harm to themselves when sitting.
function
The chair should able to stand on its own and allow a substantial amount of force to go upon the chair without the legs buckling.
