        The 5 students who appear to have limited knowledge about the topic
        
        Check-in
        The teacher will spend most of their time with this group. This way they can explain the directions and review the subject material one-on-one with the students and help them in any areas that they feel stuck.
        
        Two of the students who have little to no comprehension of the topic and need to be tested further for special needs
        
        The teacher will review the PowerPoint slides and explain the different sections of the subject on the slides.

        Once the teacher goes through the slides and videos, they will have the students review the following Quizlet cards

        Re-assessment: The students will be re-assessed by retaking the Pre-assessment and filling out the following sheet. The teacher will grade it and review the results with the student in the next class period.

      - Group 1:
        The 5 Students answered the most questions including the most diffecult ones.
        
        Check-in
        The teacher will explain the directions at the beginning of class and make periodic check-in's but most of the work will be independent.
        
        Students will work on the M&M atoms lab.
        M&M Atoms Lab
        
        Instruction:
        Students will read through the directions in the lab. During the lab they will build and draw different types of elements using M&M’s. They will identify the element symbol, atomic number, number of protons, numbers of electrons, number of valance electrons.
        
        Assessment:
        Students will turn-in final lab for the teacher to assess and return by next class.
      - Group 2:
        The 12 students who have some knowledge about the topic, but need to develop higher-order thinking skills
        
        Check-in
        The teacher will explain the directions at the beginning of class and make periodic check-in's but most of the work will be independent.
        
        Students will work on the Science IXL program
        
        Instruction:
        They will work on section E of the Science IXL: Atoms and molecules
         What are atoms and chemical elements?
         How are substances represented by chemical formulas and models?
         Identify chemical formulas for ball-and-stick models
         Describe the atomic composition of molecules
         Classify elementary substances and compounds using chemical formulas
         Classify elementary substances and compounds using models
        They will go to their assigned computers and log into their accounts.
        
        Assessment:
        Teacher will review each students results and see in what areas they are still struggling. Teacher will review results with student during the next class.
