Spanish Conquerors
Hernan Cortés
Was a Spanish conqueror (soldier and explorer) who conquered the Aztec Empire in Central America. In 1518 he left to explore Mexico.
Pedro de Alvarado
He was born in Badajaz in 1485. He was the son of Dan Diego de Alvarado and Mrs Sara. Since 1513 he participated in the conquest of the coast of Yucatan.
Panfilo Narvaez
Spanish conqueror. He took part in the conquest of Cuba (1512) under Velazquez. Later he was sent by him to Mexico to subdue Cortes, who attached him in Cempoala.
Francisco de Arellana
(Trujillo, Extremadura; 1511 - near the Amazon River, November 1546), was a Spanish explorer, conqueror and foreman at the time of the Spanish colonization of America. He participated in the conquest of the Inca Empire and, subsequently, was appointed governor in various towns.
Gonzalo de Sandoval
(Medellín, 1497-Palos, 1527) Spanish conqueror. Since 1519 he participated in the conquest of Mexico, along with Cortés, to whom he remained loyal. He carried out various expeditions to Tuxtepec, where he founded Medellín and the port of Espirito Santo, and the Pacific (1523).

Vasco Nunez de Balboa
Explorer, ruler and conqueror spanish. He planned an exploration of the Pacific coast of the South with the intention of arrivage in Peru, which he had heard about in 1513. Required by Pedrarios, he was acussed of imaginary crime.

Gonzalo Pizarro
Spanish conqueror (Trujillo, Extremadura, 1511/13 - Cuzco, 1548). He was the younger brother of Francisco Pizarro (and bastard like him), whom he accompanied on his expedition to the Inca Empire in 1531. Completed the conquest of Peru, he was appointed governor of Quito in 1539
Diego de Almargo
He was born in 1475 in the town of Almargo, Spain. He was the son of Juan de Montenegro and Elvira Gutiérrez. As a child he suffered poverty. In his youth he worked as a servant in Seville, until 1514 he embarked on the New World.
