Effective Search techniques
Using unique , specific terms
Using unique terms that are specific to your search is one common but highly effective search technique.
For example: If I search up - sports , 22,11,00,00,000 results pop up but if i type sports swimming 1,12,00,00,000 results will come up.
Use the minus operator (-) to narrow the search
Terms with multiple meanings can increase the amount of unwanted search results. The rarely used but powerful minus operator, can remove many unwanted results.
For example The insect caterpillar can also mean the company caterpillar therefore adding a minus operater can be very effective.
Use quotation marks for exact phrases
Using quotation marks for exact phrases is extremmly quick and effective.
To use this technique you must have good memory or you can have problems.
For example - If i search up a quote :to be the best you have to things that other people aren't willing to do i will get 14,30,00,000 results. But if i search the same quote will quotation marks i will get 13,30,00,000 results.
Don't use common words and punctuation
Common terms like a and the are called stop words and are usually ignored. If you do not use them your search technique will be way more effective.
For example - If i type a cheetah’s speed i got 2,76,00,000 results results.But is i type cheetah speed i got 5,61,00,000 results.
