Danish Period: Christian IV of Denmark tried to stop Ferdinand 's re-catholocism, Maximillian destroyed the army, got replaced by Wallenstein as Ferdinand's general and Calvinism became illegal
Swedish Period: Gustavus Adolphus led Protestant forces, died to Wallenstein who was assassinated by Ferdinand, Peace of Prague by Protestant German states failed
French-Swedish Period: French entered, 1/2 Germans killed
