Disadvantages
Qualified personnel are required to handle these devices, which implies not only a relatively high cost, but also the difficulty of finding it.
Multiple details must be taken into account so that the operation goes perfectly, both in production and in the programming code.

What is a PLC?
A programmable logic controller, better known by its acronym PLC (programmable logic controller) or programmable automaton, is a computer used in automatic engineering or industrial automation, to automate electromechanical processes, such as the control of factory machinery on assembly lines or mechanical attractions.
PLC applications
An independent PLC involves a PLC controlling a process, but can not connect to other computers or PLC´s.
The PLC also uses controls in civil applications, such as washing machines and to control traffic signals and elevators.
They are used in many industries to monitor and control production processes and construction systems.

Basic Operations
To put the program into operation, the control is placed in the
execution mode and the program is started. Then the process is carried out in sequence starting by checking
the inputs, then the program is executed and at the end the
outputs are modified
