- - - - Do you judge people for addiction❓Is it wrong❓Why or why not❓I know that I have. I've been that person that says, "Do you think it's the needle or the pipe?". So I let myself do it, even though I know it's completely wrong. It's wrong because you shouldn't judge, even though we're all guilty of it.
      - Does our economy feed off of addiction❓ It most definitely does. All of the addictive substances, even coffee, bring people in causing them to spend more and more money. Even business owners are driven by addiction. Some but not all are addicted to money, so they start a business to get more and more and franchise to get an unnecessary amount of money?
      - Could you let yourself become addicted to something❓Why or why not❓I have let myself before and i know i could do it again. Just because it starts with me trying to have fun with a substance. Then i begin to 'have fun' more often and end up addicted.
- - - - Analysis: This chapter is showing us how consumed we are with numerical values. Our society today is completely based on the amount of money you have, the size of your house, the amount of cars you have, and having all new appliances or gadgets. The man in this chapter could be compared to a corporate business owner; he'd be completely consumed by the numbers his business is bringing in or losing. The little prince could be one of two things, a young child with the man as a father or a lower class individual. Being a child with a wealthy business owner would be ridiculously hard. Even though you could buy anything you want, you still wouldn't have a father figure. If you were a person of the lower class and you tried to communicate with a wealthy man they would completely ignore you. They would treat you as if you were less of a person.
    - - Are our lives/society based on our wealth❓ Here in the United States we have a propensity to judge one another on our yearly income. You would slightly expect that from a capitalist nation, but not on the level it is in our nation. If you watch the younger elementary kids, there's always a group of conceited kids. Those kids tend to push away those kids who's parents don't have the money to buy them expensive things. Our society is so based on income that our elementary kids judge one another on it.
      - If you were wealthy, would you look down on the lower class❓ I personally wouldn't. I try to be as fair as possible in everyday life with everyone i meet. If I had a high income I think i would notice the lower class more but I could't find it in myself to treat them differently or look down on them.
      - If there was a homeless man in town that had old raggedy clothes on and he tried to talk to someone like Jacky, do you think he'd give him the time of day❓Why or why not❓ I don't believe someone of that wealth would go out of their way for the homeless. Because wealthy individuals usually tend to care about nothing but themselves.
- - - - How does this apply to our nation❓Donald J. Trump has been one of our first presidents to show almost all four of the main signs to be an authoritarian leader. He has gone around congress by declaring national emergency to get the funds for building his 'wall'. He got a foreign government to dig up things from the past that would go against his opponents and give them a bad reputation.
      - How does this apply to Hayesville High School and or other local schools❓Our school doesn't do this type of thing on the national scale but it does some similar toned down things. Some of the teachers or school board members will make absurd rules just so we can be controlled. I guess in their eyes it establishing 'order', but in reality it just makes our High School experience miserable.
      - How does this apply internationally❓ The North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un is a prime example of whats described in the little prince. He will do anything to get his people to follow and obey him. He will punish people and change rules until he is completely submitted to by everyone.
