Settings This story takes places somewhere in the future in a technological city around the United States with a dangerous and censored dystopian society.
Characters
Clarisse McClellan: She was a 17 year old girl, who did not follow the societies standards, she cared more about why things worked the way they did instead of how they worked, which was not common in that society. Even thought she didn't appear much in the story she makes a significant impact and influence to Montag; she gave him different perspectives and made him question society.

Materialistic thing don't give a person happiness: Once again Mildred is a perfect example of this; at the beginning of the story she tries to suicides even thought they lived in a society who where supposedly given everything they needed to be happy.
Society is becoming addicted and dependent on technology: This is one of my favorite theme's since it one of the most realistic things of the book. You can see everyone is always attached to technological gadget; for example Montag's wife Mildred was always watching television and listening to her seashells , never paying attention to her surroundings.
The abuse of government power, especially through technology: throughout the story you can see how the goverment controls the peoples every moves and even kills an innocent person with one of their hounds.
