American Values shown in the Constitution
Value: "Natural Rights"- Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness
Shown in the Constitution: In the Declaration of Independence it states "with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. This is the backbone of our constitution of the future principles of it.
This is reflected in our democratic-republic because the government claims and promotes equality to every man and not just 1 man can take the se freedoms away from a citizen.

"Declaration of Independence"
Value: Personal self defense
Shown in the bill of rights: 2nd Amendment "A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." -
This value is shown in the democratic-republic because the government does not allow the majority to vote on the subject to overthrow the minority on this case. It must go through the branches of government to be discussed.
Value: Religious Freedom
Shown in the bill of rights: 1st Amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;". This shows that the American citizen has the right to exercise any religion they please under the constitution.
This is reflected in the democratic republic by separating church and state in our government. A powerful leader does not rule telling citizens they have to obey a certain figure.
Value: Social compact (giving some freedom to receive protection from the government for the better good)
This is shown in the U.S constituon because throughout the whole document it gives citizens certain freedoms but not all for the better good of the country (ex. freedom of murder)
Reflects in our democratic-republic because citizens vote for representatives that they think will provide for them the best protection of their rights and beliefs .
ex. Jury duty
Value: No superior power shall rule over a man (Separation of Powers)
Shown in the constitution: In the first 3 Articles of the Constitution the 3 branches of government are set up so there is a balance in power and checks and balances
Reflected in our democratic republic through our 3 branches of government which provide a separation of power so no 1 man can overtake and overrule the country
