great depression
because we were in the great depression president Roosevelt proposed that we join WWII to get out of this depression. it worked.

this was the time period after the 20's where people started buying everything in credit and the banks ran out of money so nobody had money, jobs, or anything.

goal
the goal of appeasement was to avoid conflict with war bound/ major powers so that your country wont be taken over by or treated as a threat in future fights.

nationalism
the goal of this was to prove that their/ our country is number 1 when it came to its economy, government, and military.

this was people having great pride in their country and wanting to show it. they were willing to fight for their country and do whatever it takes to make it seem like their country is number 1
treaty of Versailles
this was the treaty that ended the war between the axis powers and the alled powers. marked the end of the war.
the extent to this treaty was reparations from Germany, land given back to concord countries and a Marshall law placed in effect for years after taking away their military and controlled exports and imports.

people didn't like the way Germany ran things and so some Italians revolted and decided to become factious towards them.

he started his power by taking his army and taking over the position as dictator of Germany with his strong powerful words and military forces.

they wanted to take over the united states to gain economical power and to have more land to expand with there rising population.

japan was facing the same problems that we were where we needed another moon to explore. they wanted new land to take over, explore, and gain economic power from.
militarism
the reason we wanted to do this is to show that we are the biggest baddest country out there and can take on anyone that dares to oppose us. along with this is to become a major world power and to not be relent or taken advantage of by bigger more developed countries.
