1933 January 30 Hitler forms the Fascism Gov and the Nazi party. Germany was from the previous war so they followed the corrupt Hitler.

1936 November 25 Germany and japan sign pact. went against communism and Russia. The spread of communism was very popular during this time which made people mad and they went against the idea.

1937 July 7 japan evades china. Stopped trade with japan and led to japan bombing the united states.

1939 September 1 Germany invades Poland. Britain and France didn't want Germany to gain more territory and become strong enough to defeat them.

1940 April 9 Germany invades and takes control of Denmark and Norway. This made Hitler stronger and got other countries threatened.

1940 may 10 Germany uses quick strikes called blitzkrieg, meaning lightning war, to take over much of western Europe including the Netherlands, Belgium, and northern France. A new kind of war starting.

1940 may 30- Winston Churchill becomes leader of the British government. He does not sign the : treaty of Versailles which helped start the war.
