Practical Observation with Q&A
Q&A max 15% of Observation time
Apprentice must receive 2 weeks notice
Questions MUST be OPEN
Must include questioning to clarify knowledge and understanding is being applied
Observation is 1 hour +/- 10%
Workbased project with Interview (Assessed holistically)
Workbased project
Must be submitted 2 weeks prior
Must include Annexes
Must produced after gateway
Must include responsibilities and results
2,500 words excluding Annexes
Interview
Max 60 minutes
Focus must be on the project
Face to face or remote
Consist of competency based questions FROM A TEST BANK
Apprentice will be asked 10 questions
Professional discussion with Portfolio evidence
60 minutes +/- 10% tolerance
Portfolio is not assessed but used as a basis for discussion
Must include 10 - 15 pieces of evidence
Submitted 2 weeks prior to assessment
Can be face to face or online
