  1. An idea that interested me in this chapter is how there are names for all these different types of listening. In the back of my mind I knew there was different types of listening such as selective hearing but never knew there are so many different types.
  2. Something that has me confused in this chapter is nothing. I honestly thought that this chapter on listening was pretty straight forward. I feel like I have a good understanding on the concepts.

In my life, I have said both counterfeit questions and sincere questions. I would like to think that most of my question are sincere but I have for sure asked a question that is more like a statement or that I want to have one answer to

When I was younger and even now I have selective listening. I would ignore a lot of things my parents would say to me but only "hear" the things I wanted to hear like about food or going somewhere.
