Ableism
What is it?
Its discrimination against able bodied people, or disabled people
Why does it happen?
It happens mainly because of ignorance and people who specifically discriminate against disabled people for whatever reason
When does it happen?
whenever someone makes a decision and does not consider the needs of someone else (if their nessasary)
Who does it happen to?
It happens to physically disabled people
Where does it happen?
It can happen anywhere and everywhere, you just don’t realise it, it could be somewhere so simple as a sidewalk or a building without a wheelchair ramp
Cognitive disabilities
What is it?
Cognitive disabilities are disabilities that limit people mentaly rather than physically. Some examples include autism and down syndrome.
When does it happen?
normally people have cognitive disabilities from birth but they develop overtime in some people too
What are some examples?
Autism
Down syndrome
ADD
Dyslexia
