Type: Depressant. It has sedative and anaesthetic effects. Depressant slow down the activity of the central nervous system and the messages going between the brain and the body.
- Can be obtained in the form of clear liquid, white powder, pills and capsules.
- Processed illegal laboratories without any standards.
- The production of GHB usually involves the use of lye or drain cleaner mixed with GBL, a chemical cousin of GHB and an industrial solvent often used to strip floors.

SIGNS/SYMPTOMS
