- - - - Glass:
        Glass is the most common amorphous solid. The glass can go from a fluid, amorphous solid to a rigid and hard crystalline solid. Glass has a melting point of 1400 °C to 1600 °C. While in its’ amorphous state, glass is malleable and acts like liquid. In this state, glass can be maneuvered and manipulated to form different shapes. Once cooled, the glass remains in its’ manipulated shape. This is how glassware and structures are able to be made.

        Toughened glass is glass with more strength. It compresses the outside of the glass which causes the interior to retain tension.Tempered glass is commonly found in phone screen protectors. It is made by annealing glass and then heating and rapidly cooling the glass. By repeating the heating and cooling stage, the glass is significantly stronger than annealed glass.
        
        Laminated glass is shatterproof glass. Commonly used in cars and places where glass can offer protection, the glass shatters but remains in tact. It holds its full form when cracked. Polyvinyl burtyral or ethylene-vinyl acetate makes up its' contents.
        
        Annealing glass is made by slowly heating up and then slowly cooling down glass. It strengthens the glass and ensures that the glass can withstand pressure . Annealed glass is commonly used as a basis for other types of glass.

      - Polymer
        Definition:
        Polymers are long chains of repeating monomers. They can act like a solid or a liquid. Crystalline polymers are hard and unmoving while amorphous polymers can flex and bend.
        
        Naturally occurring polymers consist of peptides and proteins. In the body, polypeptide chains are made of amino acids and are essential for life.
        
        Synthetic polymers include plastics and rubber.
