The Marrow thieves
Plot
p.150 : Minerva sacrifice herself to save the group. and it's leading them to go back for her and maybe they are going to fight instead of hide.
p:120 they found other indians who turns out to be traitors. they attract other on purpose to call the recruiter on them. This evenement cause the group to be very cautions about other indians and they feel like they can't trust anybody when they should count on eachother to fight they same enemy, the one who is traking them.

page 4 : frenchie lost his brother who was the last family member he had and in a way because Mitch sacrifice himself for him to live he had to do everything to keep on living otherwise he would had died for nothing
p.137: Frenchie killed travis. This evenement his very important because after that he became really lost and it's leading him to make the descision to go save Minerva because it didin't make sense to run anymore.
p. 135 : we learn that Riri is dead. Riri was a source of joy in the group and her lost really hurt. Everybody was sad especially frenchie because they were so close. In fact the loss of Riri was devasteting for Frenchie and his anger against the one who did it leads him to kill travis.
p.100; Miggwans' coming-to story. Because Miigwans tell his story it help Frenchie to understand him better and understand the world he was in better. By hearing the strory it taught him lessons about surviving.
P.80: Wab's coming-to story. I think it's a important events because they could understand themself better in the group and learn about the true nature of some people.

The themes
Dream: i think dream is a big theme in the book not just because it's the cause of caotique situation between the dreamless and the indegenous people but a thing it may reffer to curiosity and imagination. I think it maybe a message. Maybe because were not as connected with the nature as we used to be we lost this ability to be creative and imaginative.
-
Independance: i think the independance is a important theme in the book because like we saw in the group they encourage
Respect: I think respect was really a big theme in the book. As we follow the group grow into a family we can see that respect his a big part of they values. They each choose they own time to do they coming-out story. They have a deep respect for they ancestor and they culture as we can see when Miig tells them story
Love: I think love is a theme in the book just by the relationship between frenchie and the other member of the group. They are a lot a form that take love in the book
Truht: I think truht is a theme in the book because there is a lot of revelation about the true nature of some people. I think that when the lake became poison and the climate change change the world it was just the truth of what the human did to the planet.I think all the turht come out and we can see clearer.
The settings
The book might seem complicated to understand at the beginning if you don't know the settings. In the book is sate in a worlds where a lot of changes accure and here are the most important ones.
The nature: There is rising water that torn apart cities, a lot of tectonnic shifts, and also the climat change, it rains almost all the time now.
The animals: The animal because of all the change in the world, they change. Racoons were the size of a huskies, cockroaches had regained the ability to fly.
The poeple: Because the population was poisoning is own drinking water and change the air so much because of the polution disease strated to hapen. They moved around so much because of the tectonnic shifts that the disease spread very easly. A lot of people died and the rest got very sad and one way the sadness came out was when they slept. they couln't dream anymore.
the cities: now citie's have direction unstead of unique name's. I think it reflect the human nature and how it change because when you give a name to something it's because they have values and now that they don't have one it's like they don't matter anymore.
The dream: In the book all the poplulation exept the indegenous people had lost the ability to dream. This situation cause a lot of panic and mental health issue's. The dreamless became desperate for a cure so they took desperate action. School were created to take the cure they needed from the indegenous people. The cure to dream his in the bones marrow so they killed them to get it.
The character
Frenchie real family:
Mitch(brother): The book doesn't really give us any information about how Mitch look like but we do know that he was brave by the sacrifice he did to save his brother.
Father: was a member of a council who were suppose to talk to the governement but never came back. I think his father was really a generous men because he really tried to make a difference for the indegenous people.
Mother: she went to an old friendship center to find a few things to travel but never came back. She seems like a really good person because even if her lover had disapeard she was still there for her children
