Definition: a test refers to a tool, technique or a method that is intended to measure students knowledge or their ability to complete a particular task.
Testing can be considered as a form of assessment. Tests should meet some basic requirements, such as validity and reliability

Measurement
DEFINITION?
A procedure for assigning a number to an observed object or event
"When measuring, it is important to know the purpose of the resulting numbers will be used"
PURPOSE
It leads to numbers that can be used for multiple purposes (quality, monitor)
EXAMPLE
The evaluation question might be,
"Does the National School Lunch Program improve children's health?"
To answer, we have to compare the
measurement of the health of children participating in the program VS measurement of the health of similar children when they are not participating.
Evaluation
DEFINITION ?
Evaluation is retrospective that emphasizes on what has been or is being observed. (observed performance of completed or ongoing programs)

- It can be used as a sound basis for calculating future costs or projecting the likely effects of a program.
- Its purpose is to make judgments about a program, to improve its effectiveness, and/or to inform programming decisions (Patton, 1987).
