Types of microscope -
Light microscope: They use light to form an image. They have a magnification of 1500 x and a resolution of 0.2um.
Electron microscope - They use electrons to form an image. They have a higher resolution so it gives a more detailed image. They have a high magnification

Animal cell's organelles
Nucleus: The nucleus controls the cells activities. The DNA has instructions to make proteins. The nucleus is surrounded by a nuclear envelope which contains many pores. The pores allows substances to move between the nucleus and cytoplasm. The nucleus contains chromatin and inside the nucleus is the nucleolus which makes ribosomes.
Lysosome: Surrounded by a membrane. It contains digestive enzymes which can digest invading cells or to break down worn out components of the cell

Golgi Apparatus: A group of fluid filled membrane bound, flattened sacs. It processes and packages new lipids and proteins.
Mitochondrion: They have a double membrane: the inner one is folded and called cristae. Inside is the matrix where aerobic respiration takes place and ATP is produced. Mitochondria are very activeand require a lot of energy.
Centrioles: Small hollow cylinders that are made up of microtubules. They are involved with the separation of chromosomes during cell division.
