the purpose of a poster is that it informs the audience that i new movie/film is coming out. you can tell if its a kids film and an adults film that kids films are bright and colourful. whereas adults films are more dark and intense.

adverts are used for to attract people to buy something all like a job. It shows awareness, so like charity's etc. sometimes it can aimed at kids and adults.
