The pet would most likely die as it will not find water or food by itself as it is a domesticated animal and used to humans feeding and pampering them.Even if it does,it can negatively impact its nearby environment as a invasive species and disrupt the diversity there by challenging animals native to the environment for food.
A pet is a animal(ex.dog,cat,bird)that has been domesticated or tamed and kept for companionship or pleasure
The most popular type of pet is freshwater fish,followed by cats and dogs.
Nowadays,some people like pets as there are numerous articles suggesting that keeping a pet can benefit the owner's health(ex.decrease the risk of heart attack)so they could have thought owning a pet could help with their health and over time,grew a liking for the cute and adorable pets.Another possible reason is when humans started domesticating animals,they taught they could train them for entertainment as there was not alot of entertainment back at those days,and slowly formed a relationship with these animals.
some animal species tend to require much more care then a usual pet(ex.dog,cat),and the animal can be quite expensive,which could be quite expensive,and could be dangerous as they might retain some of their wild characteristics or require special habitats to survive,while other species are endangered,making them illegal to own as a pet.
There are several reasons why some people hate pets.Some people thinks that pets are dirty and can spread diseases,some people think that animals are low class and should not be in someones house receiving tender care, while others think that pets causes allergies.
I owned a pet when I was 4/5/6... .It was a dog and although it is cute,it could be very pesky and hard to take care of.One time when we left it in the balcony at home and when we came back,our neighbour complained to us about our pet being very irritating and making loud noises.So,from that day onwards,we kept our pets inside the room to stop it from disturbing our neighbours.

Some pets like dogs help humans to transport things,hunt and protect humans against wolves while cats were used for getting rid of rodents
