There are three different kinds of waves that are seismic waves primary waves secondary waves and surface waves
Primary waves- accordion like motion, fastest moving wave, First detected wave, weakest wave, travels through solids and liquids
-
Secondary wave- Perpendicular movement, Slower moving than the primary wave, only travels through only solids
Surface waves- Wave like motion slowest moving waves, generally cause most damage
