HUMAN POPULATION GROWTH AFFECTS THE EARTH
As the human population increase, the nee- d for shelter and land also increase.
Because the there are only limited land in some areas, people will expand the cities, the towns they live in. To expand territories, forests will be detroyed and burned.
Deforest will create great harm to the environment since detroying a forest will take away homes of many organisms that live there along.
It will also destroy our main source of oxygen, trees. Because of that, there will be more carbon dioxide, polluting our atmosphere.
OVERPOPULATION
This is when the population exceeds the capacity it can handle at once.
There are many causes for overpopulation for example: Better health care therefore the lifespan is longer, some family lack family planning therefore they keep on reproducing in order to have more children to help them work and make money. The death rate, more children are born and less people are dying at the same time.
Some effects of overpopulation is that we are running out of resources to provide for the people and eventually it will run out and won't come back in a long time. Degradation of the environment will occur if we don't do anything about it, we are producing too much CO2 gas therefore there is global warming,
INCREASE IN ILLITERATE POPULATION
Not all cultures priorities education. Not all families priority education. Not everyone has the money and opportunity to be able to get an education. So, when the human population increase. There will be more people, more people with money, and a lot more people with no money. Besides the competition and demand for food and shelter, there won't be enough opportunity for people to get an education. Hence, the human populatio increasing will also increase the illiterate population.
MORE WASTE PRODUCTION
humans are producing more waste because of the growing
population. The more people there are, the more products are consumed. Therefore, more waste will be produced.
Wastes like disposable baby diapers take more than 50 years to decompose. However, with the drastically increasing population, the rate of decomposing is too slow.
This will add on more waste while the Earth cannot decompose fast enough.
Hence, we have a massive amount of pollution in the water (where wastes go) and massive areas of land with mountains of trash.
INCREASE IN HUNGER AND DEATHS
Because of the dramatic increase in human , there are more mouths to feed and people to shelter. To have more shelter, forests will be deforest. To have more food, humans will overfish, overhunt, and overplant in many areas of soil. This will cause the annihilation of many natural habitats of natural organisms resulting in deaths, and even extinctions, or organisms. Those animals will never come back once they are extinct. Furthermore, with such hugh demand for food, food are going to be limited for people who are able to afford food. That means that people who do not have the money or chances to access food will be starved.
POLLUTION
:
There are a lot of types of pollution: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, sound pollution, light pollution etc...
The main cause of pollution is burning fossil fuel, this is because some people are uneducated therefore they keep on burning fossil fuel. Air pollution can be caused through driving vehicles but once it's overused then it becomes bad for our environment.
The amount of pollution will keep on increasing because the population will keep increasing therefore we have to fulfill the needs for humans to live and this will result in an uncontrollable amount of pollution and will be too late to fix.
RESOURCE DEPLETION
We consume way too much therefore : there won't be enough time for the resources to replenish in time for us. The consumption rate is faster than the production rate. Some examples of resource depletion is mining, fishing, water usage, farming etc...
Causes of resource depletion is overpopulation, poor farming skills, pollution, and logging.
Effects of resource depletion are water shortages, loss of forest land, depletion of minerals and EXTINCTION of species.
INCREASE IN GAP BETWEEN THE HIGHER CLASS AND LOWER CLASS
The rich are just going to get richer, and the poor population will stay poor unless opportunities are given to them. However, being already rich will increase chances while because the rich are already given so much opportunities. It is harder for the poor to get an education, a job, or access to food, water and shelter. Therefore, the rich can easily get richer while the poor will not have easy accessed chances.
Increased in crimes
As the human population of Earth grow, it is harder to keep track of the citizens. Furthermore, the population of the illiterates will also increase. This will increase the chance of people committing crimes because of their lack of sense in the rights and wrongs,
