management from Islamic perspective is defined as the ability to utilize resources both material and human, optimally in order to achieve goals either short term or long term goals. The Islamic management is generated holy Al-Quran and As-Sunnah and as sources for decision making.

short term- productivity, improvement in performance and academic achievement

managing time require proper planning - short & long term
proper utilization of time will determine the difference between success and failure

All workers at all levels should form time to time review his work and analyze his actions and attitudes

MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS IN ISLAM
Leadership
the capacity to lead the members of work groups toward the accomplishment of organizational goals
leadership based on Quran: preserving the existence of society, maintaining, sustaining and implementing the objectives, serving the needs of individuals or society
Characteristic of effective Islamic Leader
Submission to Allah - work with determination in devotion to Allah
based on Syura - leader must implement consultation, patience, sincerity, gentleness, open-mindedness and avoid egoistic attitude (participative leadership)
Qualification - capability of the leader in terms of physical, spiritual and mental
Quided by al-Quran and al-Sunnah
Uswah hasanah - a good role to produce an image of human civilization high in morals and values
