Environment
The story takes place in 2050 so it's in the future. Climate changes had a impact on the world they live in. People have to re-locate, so they hunt down the lands of the indigenous people because they think they are «less important». There is a lot of racism.
Dreams
A lot of people have lost the ability to dream except the indegenous people. The indigenous people gets hunt down to harvest their bone marrow (which holds the ability to dream). So, everything is about dream in this book.
Family
Even if a lot of children in the book has lost their parents or they got killed, The group gatters kids together and form a «family». They are really close an they wouldn't trade them for anything.

Principal Character. Has a braid. Lost his brother (Mitch). Lost his Dad ---> they meet at the end of the book. Loves Rose. They are inseparable at the end. He's the one who kill Travis.

Has a scar on her face.( got attacked by an East coast gang in her clubhouse. (rape survivor) 18 years old member of the group.

The group's elder. Silent (except when teaching her language). Dies because of gunfires coming the recruiters
Miigwaans (Mig)
believes he lost his husband ( Isaac). They meet up at the end of the novel. He's the one who introduces the younger members of the group to Story (the events and the knowledge of indigenous people). Almost got caught by recruiters.

They story takes place in Canada. around 2050 It's a story about the indigenous people getting hunt down to harve their bone marrow. It's people called «Recruiters» that are hunting down the indigenous people.
Plot
Journey to the north
Through the journey, Frenchie finds Miig who will become like a father figure to him. He've been on the run for the past 5 years with Miiig. He's family consist 8 members (9 including him). Frenchie meet rose, and fall in love immediately. They stop at a resort for 2 days.They share there story's, working on knowing more about each other. They meet new people, Travis and Lincoln. He meet his Dad later on.
