The model
-
Thomson's model was the first to include the design of the atom having subatomic particles. His model is a continuation to the plum pudding model. His experiment consisted of him using cathode rays to shoot electromagnetic rays. The rays bent toward the positive plate, showing that atoms have subatomic particles with a charge.

Lived Dec. 18, 1856 - Aug. 30 1940
His model fixed the previous plum pudding model by discovering subatomic particles that were negatively charged. These came be known as electrons
Ernest Rutherford
-
Rutherford;s model was first introduced in 1911. His was the first model to not incorporate the usual plum pudding model idea. Rutherford conducted one experiment called the gold foil experiment where he shot alpha rays through a gold foil. This resulted in some of the rays passing through and others being reflected by something in the gold, This led to his model stating that there had to be a nucleus that was postively charged keeping the electrons together in the atom. This also concluded that most of the atom is empty space
Robert Millikan
Neils Bohr
His model fixed some of Rutherford Model's flaws where it couldn't explain how the electrons stayed in orbit and didn't crash into the nucleus. Bohr's model shows electron shells that keep the electrons in a set place
-
Bohr Model proposed in 1915. It was planetary based and a modification of Rutherford's model. Proven by the Rydberg Formula for the spectral emission lines of atomic Hydrogen and by the Frank-Hertz Experiment
Lived Oct. 7, 1885 - Nov. 18, 1962
-
Henry Moseley
-
-
His theory was on atomic mass, properties of an element, and the periodic table. The mistakes with the periodic table was that there were many other elements that weren't included so he went ahead and fixed it.

-
He was born in November 23, 1887 and died in August 10, 1915
-
His model fixed Thomson's idea of the plum pudding model. His included a nucleus and other subatomic particles such as the proton and neutron
Lived Aug 30, 1871 - Oct. 19, 1937
-
How exactly he discovered his atomic theory is unknow. He was able to find atomic weights through studying compounds. HE also discoered that there are different types of gasses and that they all respond diffrently to eachother. It was introduced in 1808
