- - - - Frenchie is the main character. He travels with Miig and other childrens. He learned how to use the hunting rifle and the bow and arrow to go hunting. Also, even though he is around people, he is surely very scared by the abscence of his parents and brother Mitch. He is protective of Riri, as he takes on the role of a big brother to her. He refuses to tell her the " Story" until Miig deems it necessary to avoid traumatizing her. Even though he starts to join Miig and Chi-Boy into guilding the group, he is still a child. He respects his elders and try to mimic their habits and movements. He is slowly becoming an adult. In the end, Frenchie learns to accept his indigeneous identity and come to terms with his past failures, for exemple, not being able to rescue Riri.
