He is the protagonist of the book. He is in love with rose. He is carrying. His parents are dead and his brother sacrifices. is the dad dead?
Recruiters
There like the poilice. There not indeginous people. They hunt them for there marrow and take them in vans. They use some indiginous people to betray groups.
Theme
Survival
In the book the indegenous people are being hunted down for the precious bone marrow to give the ability to people to dream. Therefore they have to hide run and survive. Its a life or death situation in the book
Nature
In the book, the reason why the non-indigenous people have stopped dreaming is because of the environment that has been destroyed by the humans. Since climate change, so much has happen to the land and they lost the ability to dream. It shows us the importance of the nature since its the nature that lets us live without it we would have problems.
Betrayal
In the book there is allot of treason. At some point indigenous people started to betray the group of survivors. This shows us that in the book its hard to find someone you can trust
Familiy
In the book they work as a team to survive, because without that group allot of indegenous probably would of not survived. Even though there not family by blood. They still have the same vibe and way of life as a family. they sleep together hunt together cook together. Also
Setting
First of all the book is happening in Canada. They are in the province of Ontario. It starts in the city but ends in the forest as Frenchie has to run away from the recruiters cahsing them.as
Time
If I had to chose a time that the book is in. It would be the modern days because its these days that we realize that the climate change is affecting our way of lives and our health.
The Marrow
In the book there is allot of climate change and natural porblems that affected the earth. And with that people lost the ability to dream although the poeple that can still dream are the indegenous people and they are hunted because the marrow gives the ability to dream
Plot
The group find Travis and Linlocn. Travis apologize to Wab for setting her up wich resulted in here getting raped. They offered the group food and shelter but at the night they held them at gunpoint. After, RiRi and Lincoln fall of a cliff and then the group shoots Travis they run away. This shows us that even the people that can give you what you need are not necesserly good people. Frenchie leaves the group and tries to find a new one. The dad is still alive
