1st trip

Travelled further inland and met the Haudenosaunee. The H were very nice to J and then J took two of Donnaconnas sons, The chief, back to Europe.
2nd trip

Stayed through the hard winter. Challenges: Men dying of Scurvy. First Nations introduced their medincinces to help save the men.
Haudenosaunee shared that their were riches like fruit, metals like gold, and gems. J took 9 H men back to Europe so that they could share their knowledge about the riches of the land.
3rd trip

J tries to colonize along the St. Lawrence River, but after another bad winter he heads back to Europe with new knowledge of the land, but no important objects or people.
Ettienne Brule
In 1610 the French and Wendat agreed to a cultural exchange. Brule went to live with the Wendat while Savignon went to live with the French in France.
Brule learned to speak their language, customs, and travelled with the hunters.
Savigono learned to speak French. Said that France was a place of beggars, arguing, and where children were treated badly. Eager to return to his home in North America

Definition: The mother country collects all the money and resources the colony has, and sells it to them again.

Imperialism
the mother country send supplies people and resources over to a place where the people colonise it. Then the people in The Colony send back resources and money back to the mother country.
Example: Britain send over John Cabot to find fish instead he tries to create a colony Britain send over John Cabot to find fish. Instead he tries to create a colony and sends the resources, fish, back to the mother country which is England.
