The Market Revolution
12) Typewriter
the first typing thing that was documented
helped people not be so tired and was faster
we have something similar but use the same basic concept till this day on a keyboard
9) Gas Lighting
the first way to have electricity light something up in the streets
they didn't have really any electricity. this is how they got light in places without using something old fashioned like candles
in a way we use gas to light things like a fire but we don't use it as an electrical source any longer, we have become more modernized
3) Modern Roads
improve maintenance and the general quality of the country's transport system
it made transportation faster and more efficiently, dirt roads were tough on animals so this made it easier.
we still use the road today, it also provided more jobs, like chauffeurs and police.
11) Camera
takes/ tracks images using chemicals
people wanted a way to record things w/out drawing them and although it took a while at first it is amazing
we have cameras now that are smaller and way faster than 8 hours to snap a photograph
1) Telegraph
transmitting messages from a distance with a wire
they needed this because it was faster communication.
this helped us not go into war after we just got finished with one and helped our communication become faster and efficient.
10) The Tin Can
this helped hold foods for further storage time
food wasn't being eaten at a fast pace or families couldn't afford to buy food often so they had to figure out a way to store it longer
we still use tin cans to help store processed foods like for eating or for emergencies.
2) Concrete
chemical process for making Portland Cement
help constructtion become more efficenient
6) Steam Engine
performs mechanical work using steam as its working fluid
the others were going to slow so people got ffed up with it and out came this better model.
because of this the locomotive was thought of, which is now what we use to help run our vechiles.
8) Factories
where mass production occurs
companies needed bulk of al ot of things, so if you had a production line and the products to make what you needed you could speed up your production.
we still have factories where things are mass produced even today, 100's of years later.
5) Batteries
it was a pile of voltaic made by a man named Volta
helped power things that needed to move
we now use them for everything, somethings even rely on just battery power, which wasn't even possible back then
4) Spinning Jenny
spins thread fast, up to 100 threads
women were tired of of stitching one thread at a time so this helped them produce cloth faster.
it helped create sewing machines, which we still use no and it made production much faster.
7) Bessemer Process
a quick cheap and easy way to make steel
iron and steel became popular so people needed it fast and this was quick
we still use the same tech today, most big biuldings are made of steel and bridges have iron, this helped speed up the process.
