Primary Data at QE
QE can collect data using questionnaires/surveys. Using these, they can collect a large amount of information, such as Student Views which are sent to all students so that teachers can get feedback.
QE use an application form when students are signing up to QE. The data they collect here will allow them to upload information to the system.
QE uses Google Classroom to publish assignments to students. It also allows them to publish information that is useful to students, as well as collect any work that students may have done.
Secondary Data at QE
QE will collect Criminal Record Data for teachers who teach here. This is to ensure that they are legally eligible to teach.
QE collects the GCSE results of students while they are applying to attend here. This allows QE to check if the student is eligible to take a particular course etc.
QE may use national grade averages to assess how well students are doing. By looking at the national average, it allows teachers to base their marking off of others.
QE may use transition information. This allows them to get information on students who are transitioning from secondary education to sixth form.
QE may use Ofsted reports to improve the college in numerous ways. They provide an insight into what is good with QE, and what needs improvement to make it better.
