Design a monster for the Lots o’ Laughs Toy Company that meets all the guidelines.
Family Engagement:
Invite parents and or families into the classroom as students present their projects and share their celebrations and struggles!
Age/ Grade Level:2nd, although can be used in others as well with possible accommodations and or changes to expectations or guidelines.
Tech Tool: Adobe Spark can be utilized for those students who get nervous or have anxiety presenting in front of others. They can upload their monster in the form of a picture into the presentation (or can have it visible) and can be recorded presenting their findings, celebrations, struggles etc.**
Goals: Understand that different materials have properties that make them better suited for a specific purpose.**

Description:
Students will use the scientific knowledge of physical properties as well as the 21st Century Skill of collaboration to design and construct a toy that fits the toy company’s criteria.
What to say to students:
You have been hired by Lots o’ Laughs Toy Company to design a new toy for their famous monsters collection. They are hoping you can use all your knowledge about observable properties to make a unique monster based on their guidelines.
