major functions of the nervous system
To collect sensory input from the body and external environment. To process and interpret the sensory input. To respond appropriately to the sensory input.
the main / major functions of the nervous systems is
Major divisions and subdivisions of the nervous system
The nervous system can be divided into two major divisions which are the central nervous system and the the peripheral nervous system
The subdivisions the parts and or organs of the nervous system which is the brain , spinal cord , motor division , sensory division ,etc
Drugs affect the central nervous system such as
Marijuana.
Heroin and Prescription Opioids.
Cocaine, Methamphetamine, and Other Stimulants.
Benzodiazepines.
Ecstasy.
LSD, PCP, Ketamine, and Hallucinogens.
major part of the brain and its function
The brain has three main parts: the cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem
Its function is to coordinate muscle movements, maintain posture, and balance. Brainstem: acts as a relay center connecting the cerebrum and cerebellum to the spinal cord.
Classification of neurons
Neurons are classified functionally according to the direction in which the signal travels, in relation to the CNS. This classification also results in three different types of neurons: sensory neurons, motor neurons, and interneurons.
Major parts and
functions of the spinal cord
t connects a large part of the peripheral nervous system to the brain. ...
The spinal cord also acts as a minor coordinating center responsible for some simple reflexes like the withdrawal reflex.
