Provide necessary resources to achieve success
Extend and build on students prior knowledge
Central idea should be relevant, engaging, interesting and challenging
Incorporate and connect learner profile skills to the central idea
Plan backwards from the learning goal and adjust as needed along the way based on the monitoring
Assessments need to be broad and specific enough to match each grade level
Collaborate with grade level teachers to plan for transdisciplinary units of inquiry
