Compare and Contrast
Rushing through Work: Shawn is a 5-year-old student who is constantly rushing through his work, yelling out "I am done" as he completes the work wrong or not completely following the directions. He is always saying "awe, I did it already," even though the work is not completed, and many times rushed through.
Hyperactivity: Angel is a 5-year-old student who is very distracted during large and small groups. She is often walking away to get a tissue, picking up things off the floor and breaking pencils while engaged in the activity. She is oftentimes crying that she doesn't want to do the activity and many times just plain not listening.

Out Of Seat: Is constantly getting out of the seat, whether it is at the table or on the carpet. She tends to walk away

Tier 1
Angel and Shawn exhibit some of the same behavior as they work on activities assigned. Their attention is similar in that they cannot participate in an activity for a long period of time. They are different in that Shawn will have a little more control with his emotion than Angel
Tier 1
Partnership: Chose a buddy or partner that will serve as a good role model. The buddy student will assist as a help to keep Shawn on task with the assigned activity. Before beginning the buddy system I would talk with student about their role as buddy.

Talk Ticket: Implement a talk ticket. This will help with the outburst as we are completing the activity. This ticket will help with cutting down on interruption in the classroom

Reassurance: To help with assuring Shawn about his behavior, how he is completing the activity. This will help lessen the amount of time he yells out about being finish with his work. Also this is a great way to boost his self-esteem.

The activities to assist with both students are similar in action. Providing a more consistent flow of the class as well as the lesson. The data tracker is similar, talking with parents, creating a self monitor chart, and also the classdojo points. Both students are engage in the Popsicle chart
Both Students will benefit from the same level of consistency in the classroom. The benefit of using the processes helps with ensuring that both the parents and teacher are on one page.
Alternative modes of completing assignments:
I use this method to provide a different avenue for her to complete an assignment. I provide her with a dry erase board to assist with the writing task. As she makes mistakes it is easy for her to correct and continue on.

I am using a number popsicle system to track behavior. The system that I use involves collecting popsicle sticks, when the behavior is acceptable the student will place a popsicle in her ziplock bag which then leads to visiting the treasure box. As the student fail in follow direction she would then remove a stick from her ziplock bag.
Structured Routine: We have provided a routine to structure behavior which includes brain breaks during our rotations. keeping on task with schedule. Process would include using a class schedule to help with daily schedule

Call On Student Frequently: As we are engaged in our learning activity, I would frequently ask child questions about activity. I would also assign job as to deter from not focusing.

Breaks: Providing times to ensure that the student is able to take a break from lesson. As we take breaks, the student can recompose and get back in touch with the lesson.

Non-verbal Cues: Provide clear expectations for class as well as student: By doing this, the room will be able function better as all students are aligned with the expectation in the class. Creating a chart system with hand symbols to help students communicate without interrupting the class.

Behavior Intervention Plan: Provides more intensive intervention and monitoring of students behavior. This plan will help to secure a more concrete function for the students growth and secure that parent and teacher are working cooperatively. This increases support around student.

Provides students with more one on one help, support, and intervention. One on one intervention will assist with the students lesson and what ever intervention that may be needed for the student.
Mentoring: this would help with improving the student moral. Reduces students’ anxiety that they’re issue, concern, problem, and thoughts will not be addressed
Classroom Management Support: This form of support would be more in dept and focus on the help needed to address individual and groups of students that present more significant behavioral, academic, and other issues.

Check In Check Out:
"The program consists of students daily checking in with an adult at the start of school to retrieve a goal sheet and encouragement, teachers provide feedback on the sheet throughout the day, students check out at the end of the day with an adult, and the student takes the sheet home to be signed, returning it the following morning at check in."
This system would help with ensuring that the student starts off the day with their goals in mind. This would also provide consistency for the student's goal.
Peer Tutoring: Provide time where student can build his self esteem as he participates in peer to peer tutoring. I feel that confidence is a problem with this student and providing a model that makes him comfortable would help not rushing through the activity.
