According to the Corporate Finance Institute, "SMART goals are:
-Specific: Well defined, clear, and unambiguous
-Measurable: With specific criteria that measure your progress towards the accomplishment of the goal
-Realistic: Within reach, realistic, and relevant to your life purpose
-Timely: With a clearly defined timeline, including a starting date and a target date. The purpose is to create urgency."

Measurable:
I will a full year with which to complete both of the courses, approximately 6 months per course, and if I take the courses online I will be able to track them throughout the duration of each course.
Achievable:
Even with studying for OSPE's,
MCQ and Jurisprudence
I will have plenty of time to
take the courses and
benefit from them.
Realistic:
Taking the courses will
increase how desirable I am
to hire. I also want to be an
asset to my interprofessional
team, as such taking a
few leadership courses
is quite relevant to my life goals.
Timely:
I will take the first course after
finishing my practicum and
I will start the second course by
the end of august. I will aim to be
finished with both courses by
the end of march.
-
Measurable:
I will check hospital job postings daily
and apply for each opportunity for a position
within Central Alberta.
Achievable:
Even with the hiring freezes that
are taking place, as long as I'm
persistent getting hired into a
hospital pharmacy is quite achievable.
Realistic:
It isn't at all unreasonable to strive
towards a hospital position or believe
that I will eventually be hired at a
hospital once i finish getting certified
as an RPhT.
Timely:
I will start checking hospital postings
after graduating; begin applying for
jobs after getting certified. I hope to
obtain a hospital position within
three years of graduation.
