Thinking Skills
Students have higher order thinking questions in labs that are often scaffolded as I facilitate table discussion
Observation, description, analysis, comparing, contrasting and discuss it with other groups. Relate it to real life
Connect it with real life experiences , background knowledge , compare it with other world issues

Self Management skills
I give students many resources that are not turned in or graded but are useful tools in preparation for any assessments.
Students write a reflection on how they studied (what resources were used, what days/hours did studying take place, and if they attended tutoring.)
Students are given a unit objective sheet with content and vocabulary to know as well as a calendar of assignments and due dates
Social Skills

We joined with another class to act out transcription and translation with and without verbal communication
Research Skills
Every two weeks students complete a One Pager over a certain topic thats aligned to what we're learning that week. they must include sources and it must be properly formatted

Students are given a topic and asked to use google scholar and other online databases to build presentations on that topic.
