On November 10, 2019, there was a major scam in coffee shops and public locations with people gambling with their personal data by accessing the fake Hot Spot, by which information such as passwords, usernames, and bank information was exposed. Recent studies have shown that more than 70 percent of users connect to free public WiFi. More than a third have entered passwords, a fifth have used credit cards and 31 percent have accessed online banking, which provides a threat of money and highly important information being leaked.
